High-Stakes Livestock Sciences is an early-stage animal health research and development company founded to address one of the livestock industry's most significant challenges: New World screwworm.
Our current research focuses on developing an investigational topical veterinary formulation intended for scientific evaluation in livestock. Through scientific research and strategic collaboration, we aim to generate the evidence needed to evaluate this technology and, if successful, make it available to livestock producers.
While our immediate focus is on New World screwworm, our long-term vision is to continue developing innovative veterinary products that improve livestock health and support the agricultural community

High-Stakes Livestock Sciences was founded with one purpose: to pursue innovative solutions for one of the most devastating threats to livestock health—New World screwworm.
I'm Abbagail Ramirez, Founder, Managing Member, and Lead Inventor of High-Stakes Livestock Sciences.
As a small-town Texan and an Agricultural Business graduate, I've always had a passion for agriculture and a dream of owning a ranch one day. While I'm not a rancher yet, I have tremendous respect for the people who dedicate their lives to caring for livestock.
Learning about the impact of screwworm infestations inspired me to begin developing a potential solution. What started as one idea has grown into a broader vision of building a company dedicated to advancing practical veterinary innovations through research, collaboration, and responsible product development.
Although our first project is focused on New World screwworm, I hope High-Stakes Livestock Sciences will continue exploring new technologies that address additional challenges facing livestock producers in the years ahead.
